Good morning #SIFF2017! Today I'll be at Napping Princess, ShortsFest Closing Night, & The Osiris Child, plus non-SIFF 29+1 in the gap.

For everyone else at #SIFF2017 thinking of Torville & Dean each time Bolero starts in the Suffering of Ninko trailer https://t.co/nTzVzQJK4z

"We have a whole hour!" the woman the next table over keeps repeating. Obviously she's never attended a film festival before.

(She couldn't believe people might be in line for the 6pm already. I'd be shocked if they weren't.)

I *loved* this short! https://t.co/buRhqkB7lB

By the way, SIFF is a qualifying festival for the Academy Awards, which will delight you SO MUCH when you see *this* short.

Osiris Child was just okay, but the solitary prison cells were more terrifying than anything in the deeply-meh Terror 5. #SIFF2017

#SIFF2017 faves from this weekend: Rumble (rich, vital, must-see), Handsome Devil, A Date for Mad Mary, & a bunch of shorts.

I'm historically terrible at attending ShortsFest, so catching three packages this weekend was pretty impressive.

My #SIFF2017 today is probably just Two Irenes, but Albüm is on my list & I liked The Girl Without Hands & The Midwife.

I've seen Napping Princess & Two Irenes, which would be a good double feature if you like complex young ladies...& you should. #SIFF2017

My #SIFF2017 today: Crown Heights, Patti Cake$, & Godspeed. I've only seen Terror 5, which was not at all terrifying.

#SIFF2017 highlight today probably is levitating when America's Sweetheart Anthony Ramos popped up briefly in Patty Cake$.

My #SIFF2017 today: Footnotes & Without Name. Also, it's your last chance for Finding Kukan.

My #SIFF2017: The Dumb Girl of Portici, Lane 1974, Landline, At the End of the Tunnel, & Jungle Trap. I am coming for you, triple Americano!

Footnotes plays again today. It was okay, the red shoes were terrific, and then the ending was utter garbage. Still mad. #SIFF2017

It's also your last chance for Meatball Machine Kodoku, the film with the best potential ringtone music in all of #SIFF2017 so far.

Heading to my third lady-directed movie in a row! (No, not Wonder Woman.)

Landline, the follow-up to Obvious Child, was the Centerpiece Gala film. It’s a 90s throwback, which was particular fun for me because I’m the same age as the younger sister in the film. It’s a film about adults, in the tradition of Heartburn or Author! Author!, & I continue to be delighted by parents in Gillian Robespierre’s films. But then I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t love Edie Falco.
My #SIFF2017 today: the Secret, Boundaries, Soul on a String, Wind River. I think. Suggested: Landline, At the End of the Tunnel, The Man.
